A shortlist for interviews will be drawn up by at least two people and will be coordinated by the Recruitment department. References are sought for all shortlisted candidates, preferably before interviews. Any job offer is made on condition of satisfactory verification of references.

All interview candidates are asked to bring:

  • Proof of entitlement to work in the UK

  • Original documents to support a DBS application

  • Current DBS/CRB (if applicable)

  • Certificates (including training and qualifications)

  • Proof of address

They will be authenticated, copied, and returned. A copy will be kept on the personnel files of successful candidates. Documents from unsuccessful candidates will be destroyed in accordance with the Data Protection Act.

Candidates will be able to learn more about the role and Phoenix Social Care Ltd, and there will be a face-to- face interview with two people, including the appropriate manager.

All candidates will be notified of Phoenix Social Care Ltd.’s decision as soon as possible and will have the opportunity to receive constructive feedback.


All job offers are conditional upon:

  • At least two satisfactory references (one of which should be the current or last employer)

  • Verification of identity

  • An enhanced DBS check including a check against the Disclosure and Barring Services Children’s Barred List information and Adults’ Barred List information and which will be specific to the employment at Phoenix Social Care Ltd

  • Verification of the candidate’s medical fitness, mentally and physically

  • Verification of original qualifications

  • Verification of professional status where required

  • Proof of entitlement to work in the UK

  • Where applicable, further police check and/or a certificate of good repute/letter of good conduct will be obtained from the home embassy/home country for candidates who have lived and worked outside the UK
